As an Advisory Board Member, Ahmed brings more than 20 years of investment management experience to Modus. For the past two decades, Ahmed dedicated himself to building the Venture Capital program at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) within the private equity department, particularly focusing on fund and co-investments.

He spearheaded the VC arm at ADIA, building the fund from the ground up and providing access to the US, European, and Chinese markets.

Ahmed has always focused on the next generation of venture capital and venture building and has subsequently supported the growth of many platforms, such as Founders Fund, 8VC, Foundry Group, Initialized Capital, Craft Venture, Thrive Capital, Science Inc., Atomic, and more. He also had access to invest in the early stages of several globally renowned companies from Facebook, SpaceX, and Palantir, to Airbnb, Fitbit, Zynga, and Twitter.

Ahmed is currently Partner at Blue Opal Capital and Co-Founder at MindTales – a mental health platform transforming the mental landscape in the UAE by making digital wellness support accessible and inclusive.
